"I love sleep. My life has the tendency to fall apart when I’m awake, you know?" - Ernest Hemingway

For thelovemafia, as a tribute to your awesomeness, and because your birthday is some time today or tomorrow (but never mind that, timezones will not overcome the power of our combustion ♥). I noticed you're somewhat partial to amnesia stories(?) and this is ( Read more... )

Thank you, thank you so much, you lovely person - just seeing your post put a massive smile on my face, and - thank you! ♥

Also I have finally found the time to acquire a Shelfari account: I'm over here as bookling. Also. We have so many books in common like you would not believe. It may even be faster for me to list the books we've read in common than to add them to my Shelfari, like so:

"Some 60% of the books and authors we've read overlap."

Poor Leo! Being slowly and insidiously taken over by Mukuro. And oh, that last line, and the thoughts it evokes of - Tsuna, actually!

Alone in the inhale of trying to be silent and not quite succeeding, he remembers he is a folder-filer, a boy of twenty-one raised on dreams of spaceships, and he has engineer parents in Varese, and all of their curiosity, and none of their smarts ( ... )

You're welcome, hun. I just hope you had a good one. :D

Hurray! Looking forward to when your shelf fills up a bit more so we can compare titles~ Told you our tastes were similar. ;3 But 60%? Really?

And oh, that last line, and the thoughts it evokes of - Tsuna, actually!
You picked up on it! Inspired by the battle in Byakuran's office; from what we see of it, it looks like penthouse level with enormous windows; and the idea of sacrifice for Tsuna's sake, which I'd love to see Amano explore. We really haven't heard much on Mukuro's end lately either (and obviously she's trying to create suspense and it's working), and that makes me sad.

Thank you for the lovely comments. *nuzzles*

PS. Is that a Yamamoto icon I spy? :o

♥ I did - thank you for being part of, and making it, such a lovely birthday! ♥ *smiles*

QUITE A LOT. I went all !!!!!!! when I realised you had Eoin Colfer (I read the Artemis Fowl novels), Gaiman's Graveyard Book (although I don't like the McKean illustrations (which are purportedly the "adult" version), I prefer the Chris Riddell version. We've both read Annie Proulx (I thought the short story version of Brokeback Mountain was better than the movie), and even Oliver Sacks - that book about the man mistaking his wife for a hat! I read that when I was a kid because it was lying around the house. And you read Matthew Reilly (I actually cannot wait to see one of his books turned into a movie, I suspect it would make a better book than a movie). And we've both read Anne Frank and Howl's Moving Castle and Life of Pi. And of course, Fight Club. I wasn't so into Choke, though. Some of the stories there felt more shock-tactic than substance to me.

I really want to know what happened to Mukuro.

I'm so glad to hear it! Your posts always brighten up my day~ glad I could do it for you somewhat. ♥

See, what's scary isn't that we share a truckload of books. What's scary is that we share opinions about said books. XD Re. McKean, Brokeback, Fight Club vs. Choke: it's obvious the reason I've been so lacking in life so far is YOU HAVE THE OTHER HALF OF MY BRAIN.

Having said that, I only made it through a third of the Brokeback film. This is what I mean when I say I'm a crier. Knowing what happens made me pre-emptively asdfkljdsfag. I didn't want to stomach that sort of angst in hi-res glory. BUT ONE OF THESE DAYS. I SWEAR.

Reading your fics always remind me of reading my academic papers, not that its monotonous or boring, far from that. Just that it takes time for my sleep-addled brain to absorb the meaning and translate it into simple goon terms for myself.

Interesting, very interesting (: Nicely explored. Impressed me once again~

I never really mean to write in a way that's difficult to understand. XD I think maybe things that make sense in my head (like sequences and word associations) don't actually. One thing I know I do a lot is switching suddenly between figurative and literal imagery. My English teacher would probably cry~
