After running club this morning, I came home to watch the MSU-Ohio state game from the comfort of my couch. I spent the first act, er, half, talking to both parents on the phone. The biggest loss today was the loss of Branden Dawson. He's out for the rest of the season.

They only seemed to play well when I was not watching. They had a huge lead when I sat down and they started playing poorly. So I went away and came back and Brandon Wood had scored like 6 straight points to bump the lead back up. Then I sat down and they started playing badly again. I should have just gone away for the rest of the second half so they would play better. It is all my fault!

I think when Branden Dawson tore his ACL that killed them, because William Buford had nobody to guard him after that.

Oh, and Keith Appling > Kalin Lucas...by far.

IMHO Kalin Lucas doesn't get enough respect. He was the best player on two Final Four teams (though he got hurt before the Final Four one of those years), and he played his way back from a serious injury that took away his primary asset - his speed with the ball. Guy had a lot of heart.

I like Keith Appling a lot, but I think Kalin gets overly blamed for the 2010-11 debacle. He won a lot of games for Michigan State.
