Will the Satyam episode lead to tighter regulation and greater compliance costs, as happened in the US after Enron and WorldCom?

As a distant spectator, the question I ask is whether, in fact, there is tighter regulation in the US, despite higher compliance costs, in the US or elsewhere...post Enron etc.?

I put this feed into my RSS because I thought it reflected a global viewpoint. It seems the whole focus of this feed is on India. This does not match the description at all of a request for international viewpoints from livejournal.

There are much larger worldwide issues than satyam. There is the crisis in the Gaza Strip. The $50 billion Ponzi scheme by Bernie Madoff dwarfs this issue immensely.

Does anybody have any recommendations of a true Global Viewpoint community within Livejournal? The one recommended by Livejournal is a farce.

Change is necessary and inevitable...perhaps they will learn a lesson litezout March 4 2009, 14:00:53 UTC
Now that the world has deteriorated to an all time low - "Out of Order" is the perfect remedy for channeling your aggression. Angst and emotional turmoil fused with contageous melodies rendering a positive twist over the ominous realities of the world.
For a limited time we are providing FREE downloads of this song as an effort to help propagate the message of necessary change from the current failed policies.
