I am glad you liked it. You know that your bunny was driving my muse insane :D I liked the pairing a lot and they were surprisingly easy to write. I had a short moment where I was thinking about more angsty thing, but my muse wanted the easy coming-out for Mario.
It would be really good when finally one of the gay players would come out. But the reality is what it is. As you point ist out, football fans are not all well educated. And then there is this "male" sports thing. I guess the world is not ready for a gay football player. But maybe once the carreer is over one of them will come out? That would be easier I guess.
You remember that gender role talk we had. That is kinda the same as what you had with your colleague. It is scaring that ppl in our age are so close minded and ignorant. So we have this nice picture on the outside with the halfhearted marriage that gays can have in our country, but yeah the other thing are the real ppl.
We made a progress, but there is so much more ahead.
