I can now mark my journal entries as containing No Adult Content, Adult Concepts or Explicit Adult Content. I don't think any of my posts are explicit, but I'll go through them all the same.

It's a nice change from the whole Big Brother "What We Say Should Go And We Say No to Pr0n", and in an attempt to find out more, I found this:

However, we did immediately realize our mistake

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Seriously.

No you didn't.

It took about two weeks of users sending emails, maxing out comments on the news feed and general insubordination before someone turned up and started apologising. But journals weren't reinstated until much, much later.

Plus the fact they waited for HP season - IE, the season least users are least likely to be online - to implement this meant they knew it was going to be unpopular anyway.

Bag o' lies, LJ, learn you some more. These ones suck.

I'm gonna be really naiive and stupid now, and say, "Really?? I know it wasn't immediate like they said it was, but they did EVENTUALLY reinstate a lot of the purged journals. And they've admitted it too, so it can be no bad thing, right?

*goes back to being all innocent in the corner again*

Yeah, they did all that stuff eventually, then lied on an official statement and said they did it straight away.

...Which just goes to show how consistent they are, really. :/

(Doesn't matter now. Russians own LJ. >_>)
