Thank you! And yes, I hope John goes home too, but I actually have no idea whether he does or not. I think it wouldn't have fit with Vegas if I'd have given him a totally happy ending, y'know?

That was both sad and a good resolution to the ep at the same time. I liked how you kept the AU shep in character

I'm so glad you liked it! I was just kind of wondering 'what if John didn't die,' as opposed to trying to find a way to 'fix' the ending -- for the record, I'm convinced John did actually die in the last scene of the episode.

Keeping John in character is hard enough for me, never mind it being him in an alternate universe, so I'm really pleased you thought I did OK. Thanks for reading!

I loved how you kept Rodney in character to what we saw on screen, he did rescue John, but there's no overinflated sense of connection yet. Liked the offer and of course you captured this John's voice perfectly.

Thank you thank you! I was kind of worried about getting John's voice down, I'm glad you think it worked.

Mm, I really wanted to write Rodney as we know him, all flustered and panicky about John, but then realised that this Rodney wasn't like that -- the whole scene with the two of them proved that, that Rodney didn't care all that much about John. I think in this story, he's just starting to care.

Haha! I think this is secretly what I wanted to happen at the end of the episode, although to be honest, I think the actual ending worked better. Thank you for reading!
