I get to listen to bad radio

At work I have to listen to the local radio which is - bleh.  So, it is inevitable that Taylor Swift's "Love Story" is being shoved into my eardrums every hour on teh our it seems.  This has led me to take note of some lyrics in the song- that seems as if it's told from a teen girl's point of view with Romeo and Juliet analogies -"You were Romeo I ( Read more... )

I am with you. Terrible.

Normally, I would be grumble about the R&J reference (you might want to pick a love story that doesn't leave a half dozen people dead at the end), but The Scarlett Letter???

Taylor Swift seems to have done very well for herself writing catchy tunes that teenaged girls can sing along with and relate to. And they've probably, you know, HEARD of "The Scarlet Letter" so...she gets her demographic at least. I'm surprised your local radio is still on "Love Story," which is really last year's song. This summer she has one all about how come he doesn't realize that he should date her instead of that girl who is the cheer captain? (I've actually been thinking a lot about Taylor Swift lately.)

This is hilarious- TODAY is the day they started playing that song every hour and I only heard "Love Story" once. Kooky coinky dink.
