Cliche Challenge
A while back, a few of us had a great time compiling a list of good old fashioned fandom cliches that need some attention. That list is HERE.
In addition to those, kseda and I have come up with the things we miss about the early days of Glitch/Wyatt fanfic. So, here is the challenge. Write a story using one (or more!) of the cliches from the linked list or the additional ones below:
- The Queen is determined to set up Glitch with a proper courtly lady. Cain is jealous but unable to admit his feelings. The requisite formal dance ensues, including such things as Fancy Clothing, Lots of Buttons, Masks, Misunderstandings, and DG acts as Glitch's best friend/protector. (Oh, the emo).
- The Masquerade Ball, where Glitch plans to woo Cain. Or any kind of formal dance. CAN YOU TELL WE MISS THE DANCES?!?!
- Cain tries to resists his feeeeeeeeeeeelings.
- HYPOTHERMIA RESCUE!
- Rebrainment recovery!
- Masculinity Issues!
- "They're putting my brain in tomorrow and I do not know if I will still want you after that so..."
(And if you've written one of these in the past - no, we're not mocking you. We've written them, too. They're awesome. *grin*)
