meh, I hope you get your money back! I heard a lot of bad things about EA in general as a company but never that they steep so low and screw their customers out of money with basically lying to them!

Well, I haven't heard from the credit card company yet, but the lady did say I could pay this statement subtracting those items from it. But I'll be anxious until they confirm that they canceled it!

I want to pay the rightful price to EA, but it's not my fault I can't get in touch with them!

Dang, that sucks. Companies seem to go out of their way to suck lately. I try to stick to Steam for my gaming purchases whenever I can.

Yes, I've bought Portal 2 on Steam, and a couple of months ago, they were giving Portal (1) and I got that one for free. R had already bought both on his account. And I payed exactly what they said they would charge me! Imagine that! ~sarcastic tone~

It's too bad I'm addicted to The Sims 3. But I'll keep myself away from EA/Origin as much as I can and never do any business directly with them again!

I doubt you don't know who they are. You might just not be aware they changed the name of their store to Origin. But Electronic Arts has produced some well known games like The Sims, Battlefield and Need for Speed.

I'm already addicted to The Sims... but if I see the EA label on any game I'm thinking about trying out... "I'll just say no!" (Like it's a drug... addictive and bad for you in the long run)

I know Electronic Arts, I didn't know they changed their names... I don't usually play PC games, since I'm more of a PSP person. To be honest game quality is the only thing I really look for, but even if I really like the PSN I do not and will not trust it with my card. I only use prepaid PSN cards.

I was going to pay with PayPal. It was the only other method of payment that wasn't a credit card. But they only said they accepted PayPal, they didn't actually enable the field on screen to select that option. That should have raised a red flag right there. But I really never had an online store charge me differently from what was written on the page!

That was a big surprise!!!
