A bookshelf!

Two of them in fact. I have claimed my bookshelves and brought them home! Just in time for another trip to Ikea...but the point is that I finally clean out that corner of my room because I will have somewhere to put everything I sort through and decide to keep! Many thanks to the HofC for lovingly housing my bookcases until I could retrieve them

Ugh. I need more bookcases, too. I don't understand how this always happens--it seems like I leave my books alone for too long and they start to reproduce spontaneously.

Also, interestingly, I am a champion at cleaning out my closet and donating clothes I never wear--but can I bring myself to weed out the books I never touch? Nope!

This is part of a big purge: I am going through papers, giving clothes away, selling books I can bear to part with, and, most importantly, cleaning up last winter's mouse droppings and setting out new super-duper poison.

I can send my toothless kitty Maggie over...she's still a fantastic mouser despite her dental problems, though I'm afraid she's taken to sucking mice to death now.
