I haven't tried the Kameron Hurley because it sounded a bit too dark for my tastes, but all the others listed here are Good Books.

Jennifer Roberson's Cheysuli Chronicles are also a good read.
I enjoyed the reviews and might have to look for some of those when I have some leisure reading time again.
