Oh. My. Everything. That's awful. :( The husband's had two horse-trailer-related incidents in the past so I can sortakinda relate, but none of them involved a wheel falling off and so the situations are pale in comparison to yours.

It certainly adds an extra layer of complication when it isn't just a trailer, but the whole kit combined in one.

Yup- you certainly can't just hook it up to a new towing vehicle, though I do suspect a trailer losing a wheel would be a recipe for a dangerous jacknife type situation.

God, what a nightmare. But thank heavens you and Iris are okay - that's the main thing...

Indeed it is. Given the amount of craziness she has been through lately I am amazed that a) she is in one piece and b) she got straight in the box to come home.
