Brief election thought

I think a hung parliament may be the best outcome for this election- if any one party is going to have to take decisions that would potentially make them unelectable for a decade then they may back off, if it's a shared responsibility maybe they could handle it ( Read more... )

I heard Mandelsson offering the Liberals a bit of a faustian bargain on the Today Programme this morning- he came right out and said 'we're the only party that will give the Liberals proportional representation, which is what they want. They have deal with us to get that.'

The man makes my skin crawl. It's like he's the malevolent demon at the heart of New Labour who everyone hates, but who gets people what they want because he is utterly unashamed of what a monster he is, and what he has to do to achieve the things he wants.

Lord Voldemandel is a sinister figure indeed. A member of the Bilderberg group for a long time I believe.

He is apparently highly charismatic though. People who meet him really like him...
