You know, before I looke at my flist this morning I was in a pretty bad mood. My mom told me that if I treated she would sit through Inception with me today, but first she had to go to this one place for this one thing that I didn't pay attention to. That was last night. Omg, hon, I am so with you with the smoking thing. I got my mom to pretty much quit, but I know she still does at least sometimes. I've come to terms with the fact that she's human and I should give her slack, but I wish she'd be honest about it.

Aaanyway, sorry our day has sucked. Sounds like your mom's having a crappy day herself though. As someone who misses her mom quite a bit, might I suggesting hugging it out?

Well, she got home not too long ago and I tried hugging it out. I think she's still mad at me, but that could just be because if we had gone to the movies we would have had to go before noon ($6 tickets before noon) and it's after 12 so she might just be upset because I didn't get to see it. It's something she would do.

Okay so your day went almost exactly like my friend's day (her's was less Inception filled and more spent at my house telling me all about Smallville and Merlin). UGH MOMS. My mom used to smoke and she eventually quit because she wanted my dad to stop drinking and it was the only leverage she had. FUN TIMES.

Ok so the thing is my mom was in jail for the past year. She said that she hadn't smoked during that time. I was hoping when she came out she would stay away BUT SHE DIDN'T. And at first she was at least trying to hide it from me, which I prefer because now she just smokes and MY FAMILLY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THAT I CAN'T BREATH WHEN THEY SMOKE. Just becuase I don't have asthma or anything doesn't mean I could walk in a smoke-filled room and sing opera or something :( AND IN THE END I STILL DIDN'T SEE INCEPTION.

I know, I had that same issue; my mom smoked like five feet away from me several times a day for three years, I think I adapted by necessity. It's not fair to you that they're doing that but they're addicts, they're not exactly thinking in the most humanitarian of natures when they're getting their fix, and addicts tend to hear a negative attitude as confrontational so they get angry right back. Be the bigger man here and just try to keep calm and politely ask them to take it outside.

YOU DID READ IT RIGHT? IT WAS WONDERFUL RIGHT? NOW I TOTALLY WANNA SEE MORE. LIKE LIKE, THE TARDIS ENDS UP THE CHOIR ROOM AND FOR WHATEVER WHACKY REASON THE DOCTOR TAKES NEW DIRECTIONS TO PERFORM IN SPACE :D

Yeah. I need to find a time to tell her that I don't really care if she smokes, just try to hide it better from me :/
