I keep telling myself that they are intentionally exaggerated caricatures and that playing out their awfulness to positive conclusion is actually a critique of the problematic stereotypes. Oh, Glee, the lengths I will go to justify my love for you!

But I totally agree about this resolving productively. It is actually good to see Santana called out and to experience the way she makes other people feel- even if we aren't left with characters on the moral high ground. They can all end up on the same page by the end of it.

I won't even bother with this episode.

I saw this post on tumblr and thought it was perfect: http://thefiveavengers.tumblr.com/post/3107318060/hi-my-name-is-finn

the problem is not what Finn does or doesnt do, but the fact that heis never call out on anything.

ugh Rachel, dont go there. Thats beneath you.

and uow, Lauren just threw Santana on the lockers. Thats not cool.

They are just dumping all on Santana aparently. Thats not okay. Is not okay when do it with Rachel and it shouldnt be okay when they do it with anybody else.

To be fair the fact that it's not Rachel for once is probably a step in the right direction at least. Santana's a big girl, she's done her share of harassment, I'm sure she won't take too much of it before hitting back-just ask Quinn ;)

You mean, it won't last long until everything goes back to the way it was before without any real resolution? Despite the "wake-up call"?

Yeah, I imagine that's what'll happen too.

Ha!
Pretty much. Next week, this will all have been a dream and Santana won't have any long lasting effects from the deeply powerful "lesson" she learned. They'll go back to bitching about Rachel's clothes and not practising for Regionals.
