I know most of you don't care about this, but the fact that the winner gets to be in 7 eps next season, IMO, is important to where the actual Glee show goes. ETA: The official release does go on to state that there will be a Glee marathon on Oxygen.

Honestly, if there must be a guest star for a potential 7-episode arc or whatever, I'd rather it be an unknown. I am so sick of all the stunt casting that goes on on this show.

I'm a little new to the Glee fandom so excuse any possible ignorance, but I must know... what stunt casting? The only person I could think of was Darren and he's said that they weren't aware of his Very Potter Musical fame when he was chosen. Please enlighten me!

I agree with you, though. One of the things I love about this show is how members of the cast, especially Cory and Chris and Amber, were just unknowns before doing Glee.

Basically all the big name guest stars. Gwyneth Paltrow, Neil Patrick Harris, Kristin Chenoweth, Eve, Charice, Darren - they're all hired for fame/to boost ratings. All of their roles could have been performed by unknowns. Personally I would rather see a talented new actor get a chance on the show than more guest stars that are just inserted for buzz, because oftentimes these guest stars don't fit into the plot all that well. In my opinion, you can tell some of them are just there for fame purposes, not for storyline purposes.

Ahh. For some reason I was only thinking in terms of main cast members, not guest stars. Thanks!

Throughout the series, hopefuls will be narrowed down through intensive rounds of workshops, “Glee”-themed assignments and call-backs as a team of “Glee” insiders assess who has what it takes to be the next new face, and voice, of “Glee.”

That sounds absolutely terrifying.
Imagine the first person who gets "eliminated"and how heart broken they probably will be

As inspired by Flo Rider, "The Glee fandom can't even handle this right now..."
