She was texting while driving which will become the new drinking while driving episode that you saw in teen dramas in the nineties. They may kill her off in order to get the message home that texting while driving can kill you. However, this episode was also about bullying leading to suicide which in my area aired on the same night that MTV aired the special It Gets Better which is about the same issue.
Quinn sort of grew on me at some point during the first season. In the finale of season 1 I actually did think her character developed somewhat and at that point she was my favorite character, and there came season 2 which crashed every positive emotion I had for her. The writers kept taking her character from one extreme to the other to the point where not only it seemed unrealistic, it was downright ridiculous. The highlight of that was the whole baby drama during Idina's short guest appearance (maybe this is the place to ask - was I the only one bothered//annoyed by the fact Shelby just disappeared without a trace one day?). When they took it to the next extreme with her deciding to apply to Yale, I began to warm up to her again, and now this. I didn't know the crash was coming but as soon as she and Rachel started texting back and forth, I was wincing at the screen, knowing she would look at her phone any second. When the TroubleTones lost and folded into New Directions, Shelby was no longer being paid by Sugar's dad and no longer had a place at the school. I guess I would have liked for her to have done some co-coaching of New Directions, but I'm sure she's still around so that Puck can spend time with Beth.

I agree, Diana is a fine actress she is just unfortunate to play such a shallow character.
