I loved Sam's secret, and my real disappointment is we didn't get a little more time with Sam himself. I really hope this isn't a plot that just goes away. Heck with even the economy- poverty is a problem no matter what the economy is doing. I really liked seeing a non-romantic plot, and I really, really am hoping Sam will stick around and this plot will actually go somewhere. I don't mind romance, but I like seeing something more, too

This was my biggest issue, but I think it comes down to in part, she's had to deal with Kurt being at Dalton for so long, and even now that he's back at McKinley, something tells me he's still spending a lot of time with Blaine after school/on weekends, and he's probably confiding a lot of things in Blaine that he once would have told Mercedes. So maybe she's just jealous, and that came out in what she said?
I definitely love that explanation. Whether or not the writers intend it is sadly debatable, but I really like the concept- it's so common any time people get into new relationships.
Completely minor point, but I was left wondering: How does having a part time job translate to living in a motel? That was Sam's explanation for how Kurt found out, I could understand him needing to tell someone, but it didn't really come across that way. If he was so determined to keep it a secret then he a part time job could simply be, a part time job.
Stupidly late because I only just watched this episode last night, but I'd be more concerned with why Sam was delivering a pizza to Dalton, which is two hours away from Lima. I guess geography is fluid in Ohio?
Anyway, maybe Kurt was pushy about why Sam was the one delivering pizzas or why he needed a job, and Sam just broke down from exhaustion and told him. Or something. I don't even know. I'll just say that I found the connection between part-time job and homeless odd too and quit fumbling for reasonable explanations.
Good point about the distance. I just kind of decided that Glee Ohio is just an imaginary place and the fact it shares town names with the real world is completely incidental. It's the only way I can deal with location inconsistencies.

I think that perhaps if I repeat that enough times, I will believe it. Then my life will be so much easier.
