YouTube is making the rounds again. They took out my friend cryptictac and now it might be my turn, too. In the event that anything happens to my account, I don't think I'll be dealing with the pain and stress of worrying about a lawsuit chasing at my heels.

Instead, I'll be relocating!

It really does! ♥ But the truth is, all of those of us who edit are just walking across a fine line when it comes to sites like YouTube. It's a matter of time before we all get shut down, and I've held out..I think the longest out of anyone I know offhand so far. So if it happens, it happens, but it won't stop us from editing. :)

Are they seriously throwing lawsuit around? What did they tell cryptictac exactly?

Oh, they didn't say anything like that at all. ;D But I'm in a law and ethics class for media production right now and we had a discussion about things like this, about how if a person keeps on breaking copyright law, eventually it does become a more serious offense. And YT has just become so irritating about it lately that I don't want to have to keep uploading and reuploading, you know? I'd rather just have a new site. :)

I think we should all relocate. I just went through my uploaded videos and they deleted my So You Think You Can Dance TOUR videos...Yes TOUR VIDEOS! Not all of them but most of them which was strange. Some of my House videos are gone because of the music copyright violation.

Only downer about IMeem is that unless you pay, you can only have 11 videos up. :(

♥ I don't know what the big deal has been lately with YT, but I told myself years back when this started happening that I just wasn't going to mess with it if it did happen. And I'd like to have a centralized website for my things, so..yeah. :)
