I had no idea what your last post was about, and then saw something on Playbill about it. I am so sorry - I had no idea you were actually there during the load-in.
It's hard to deal with death, especially when it happened so near where you spend most of your days. I'm so sorry that your department is going through that. I'm going to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your thoughts, it took me so long to get the images of that day out of my head, but now a week later I can finally close my eyes without seeing death. This is still very hard for me to deal with day-to-day, but it is becoming easier.
The plywood was standing 4', strapped to the side of the truck with 2 ratchet straps. There were 3 people in the truck at the time. They unstrapped the bottom strap and then realized that it was going to lean so they were calling for help because they knew it would be too heavy for them to hold up. The top strap just kind of gave way, since the road that the truck was parked on was not level.

I've never thought of plywood as deadly. That's scary, honey. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
