Yayoi was so mad. First, they gave her another stupid taser. This was like the fourth time! She didn't like them. And then there were all these mean guards who were going to hurt people. Yayoi hated this stupid prison. She kicked the wall in rage.

"Save it for the prisoners, hew-mon." Quark felt like going out there and knocking some heads together. Finally, a job to do and the tools to do it. Not that he wanted things just handed to him, of course, but at least findable was always appreciated.

"I. Don't. Want. To hurt. Prisoners!" Yayoi punctuated each angry word with another kick to the wall. So now she was mad, had a stupid taser, and her foot hurt. This was the worst day ever.

Typical female. Even less of a head for business than the usual human. Quark didn't know what the Warden was thinking even trying to employ one. Ferengi were much more sensible about such thing. "Well, you've been given a job to do."

Yayoi spun around. She didn't want to hurt prisoners, but she was starting to think that this man-alien-thing could use a good punch in the face. "Some of them are innocent!"

"When the boss gives a job, you do it. That's how employment works, female." Now this was odd. She was human. Human females usually did go into business, as foolish as that was. Surely she ought to know the basics.

"He's not my boss, and he's not yours either!" Yayoi yelled right in his face. "We're all still prisoners, this is just a weird game he's making us play, and you're playing right along! You are a very bad person! . . . or alien." Yayoi hadn't even done anything wrong! She shouldn't even be a prisoner! This was so stupid.

"I'm following the material continuum, hew-mon. Sucking up to the boss is one of the Rules." Quark paused. What was he doing? "But females are not to know that."

"Well, then those rules are stupid. Do you get paid to do this job? I don't think so! You just have to hurt people for no reason! That's not a real job!" Even bad people like mobsters and drug dealers got paid. This wasn't a real job.
