Two spotlights shine over the entry cells, illuminating new prisoners. Each appears lying on an uncomfortable twin bed, unconscious, wearing typical Glaxcin grey uniforms. They have no idea where they are or how they got here. The entry cells are open.

Yayoi had been so mortified by the way she'd been acting earlier that she hadn't left the cell at all since the boy with the flower petals had run off. She put the vase back on the shelf, thankful it hadn't broken. Then she sat back on the bottom bunk and put her face in her hands. What had she done? Maybe the warden was right, and she really was bad.
