It’s snowing right now. Unfortunately, every time that I start writing about snow or rain, I hear Tuckey’s voice in my head. You do start with weather frequently, but its understandable. You and are loving servants to those elements that pain us the most.

I used to walk to the top of that ridge when you were at work.

Actually, the first thing I ever wrote about Nakiel has rain in it... (This is from memory, so I'm not entirely sure how accurate it is.)

The wind smelled of rain and breakfast and somewhere above the sun was trying to shed some light on the situation I was in far below. Unfortunately, she wasn't doing a good job.

To this day, I don't know for sure why I gave the sun a feminine gender.

Which ridge? The one beside the gravel driveway? Did you ever make it up to the path cleared for the high tension power wires?

Up
