I'd demand a straight answer on the spot, yes or no, and let them know they should at least be professional enough to pass any information you need on to you.

I'm not exactly a favoured student, I'm the one who picks a fight whenever there's one to pick, but that does mean I always have whatever information is available at any given moment, 'cause I cause such a racket when I don't. And I'd be a very annoying wee thing if this had happened to me *nods*

Thankfully I'm in now, but yeah I'm ususally more like that (I can get pretty bad if something's marked wrong...hehe), but I was essentially asking her for a favour so I wanted her to like me and think it was a good idea.
