I knew before I got to your icon from the picture that this was you! What a beautiful presentation. Tell me, is there a specific use for the lovely glass orbs or can you use your imagination. I love them!
As for okra, thin sliced rounds, sauteeing, in olive oil with mushrooms, thinly sliced green or red tomatoes, onions, fresh garlic and mushrooms is yummy. I use a tad of light soy sauce sometimes in cooking this.
I also sautee okra, leaving it a little crunchy, couple it with shredded cabbage, carrot and rinsed small white beans, then add my favorite pasta and a light dressing, usually olive oil, wine vinegar and lemon pepper.

The orbs and globes (two sizes; globes are bigger) can be hung in windows or outdoors in the yard. We leave ours out year around and love seeing them in the winter with little caps of snow on top! I'm glad you like them!
And thank you so much for these two okra recipes!! Both sound like the kind of food we eat, and very do-able. Plus, something to do with green tomatoes! Great! The cabbage-carrot-pasta thing sounds great too! We'll try them both.
Thanks! I love seeing a mass of them in the sun; like striped soap bubbles. Except glass.
Thanks for your kind wishes! Its kind of hard having Mom still ill, but there's nothing to be done about it...she's turning 81 in a week, and she's planning to start chemo in a couple weeks. While it seems like its probably going to be one thing after another for her, healthwise, at the same time I'm focusing on how right now I'm home and its GREAT!

Baraboo, though, seems quite fresh in my mind, namely the experience of feeling so icky after. But the money helps! And it's a lovely little town.

Glad you're back home again. I'll bet it feels good, after the hectic times you've had.
