There's no shortage of things to do in this city around July 4th, so I went out with Mike and Janelle today to a Chinatown block party. I wish it hadn't been so hot, we kind of just milled around from air conditioned place to air conditioned place. Philadelphia was one of my favorite places to go for shows or just wander around for the day when I lived in NYC. I'd imagine 4th of July weekend would be a really fun, entertaining time there. (and I'm a history nerd, so I'd be totally geeked out)

Ohhh my god, the historical stuff is so much fun, to me. My friends are pretty much like "seen it", but I never get tired of all the sites of historical interest down in Old City.

When I moved to the east coast I was constantly floored with how old some things were (relatively speaking) and how much history there is. I loved it so much. Compared to California where nothing is much older than the mid 1800s and, aside from the gold rush, the history is so boring

Thanks! I actually think tomorrow is going to be pretty low-key, I'm going to do some left over homework and then watch the fireworks from a park. We're so exhausted from today.
