How does one watch for the latest installable security updates from Microsoft? Or other such things that are updated regularly to deal with the latest slew of viruses/spyware/invasive software evil bugs from websites?

XP checks automatically, but if you want to do it manually you just execute microsoft update.

It says something about you guy's relationship when you use LJ to communicate. ;)

You can schedule the computer check for updates too. You can set it up easily with the maintenance wizard.
