Challenge Rules for Betas
1. Authors will contact you when they are in need of a beta.
2. You can work as a content beta, mechanics beta, or both, depending on your comfort level.
3. This sign-up post will be up until rough drafts are due on July 3, 2010.

4. Ratings you are willing to beta: anything except hard NC-17
5. Fic genres you especially like to beta: hurt/comfort, ones with happy fluffy endings(!), AUs
6. Things you will explicitly not beta: non-con, pwps, death-fic
7. Pairings you are willing to beta: (repeat question)
8. A little bit about your process when beta'ing fic: I read through it and make notes/comments in a different colour. I also comment on what works and what doesn't (in my opinion) and offer suggestions, I'm quite tough >.> and picky. Then at the end there's usually gushing and flailing and squealing. =)
9. Strengths: grammar, storyline/plot development, characterisation (if that's applicable in rpf fics)
10. Weaknesses: spelling
11. Anything you'd like to add: Have been beta-ing for a long time and because I'm sad, I actually really enjoy doing it. *shrugs* Some people collect stamps, I beta things.

And sorry about the repeat question. It's was supposed to be what pairings will you not do. So I went through and changed that.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up.

Btw, pairings I won't do? As long as he ain't made straight, I don't mind. Though I think I will draw the line at crossover pairings, particularly something crazy like Adam/Mal Reynolds or something.
