В стародавние времена, в 1996 году, когда герои нашей миниатюры имели в названии лишь один знак препинания
(звук, обычно передаваемый как «чик», по характерному бушменскому междометию) и им того хватало, о теперешних
диско-панк-сумасбродствах можно было лишь догадываться. Уже тогда !!! («чик-чик-чик»!) настаивали свой инди-рок
на фанке и диско, полагая, что все танцплощадки сделаны одинаково, - и, признаться, не так уж и ошибались.
В нынешней толпе модных музыкантов, паразитирующих на танцевальных припанкованных мелодиях, !!! отличаются
интеллигентностью и тактом в обращении со звуком. За более чем десятилетнюю карьеру внушительная команда из
восьми человек (не считая концертного состава и сессионных музыкантов), ранее игравших в The Yah Mos, Black Liquorice
и Popesmashers, записала три студийных альбома, разогревала публику на концерте Red Hot Chili Peppers в 2006-м и к
уголовной ответственности не привлекалась. Также в активе группы каверы на The Magnetic Fields и Nate Dogg.
