The intensity of Adam's gaze in the dressing room mirror is almost tangible. It's a caress, a dare, a promise. And Tommy knows that four steps is all it would take. Four small, impossible steps.

Sitting in the passenger seat while Adam navigates through traffic, Tommy listens. It's been a bad day. In the studio, with the paps, with the label. Adam's voice is becoming more desolate as the words tumble out. And Tommy wants to comfort him. Wants to reach for Adam's hand and bridge the gap between them.

Cuddled up with Adam, drifting in that peaceful place between asleep and awake, Tommy thinks how easy it would be. A simple twist of his head, a slight shift in weight. He can almost feel Adam's skin under his fingertips. Almost taste Adam's lips on his. Almost.
