Nursing Home Day

Today, my mother and her siblings are moving GGB into the nursing home area of her assisted living facility. She's deteriorated a bit, and needed more care. It's good for her to have what she needs. I feel so lucky that she is able to have all she needs

I wish I had memories and family traditions like that. I think that's part of the reason I create so much. There are no family heirlooms or anything like that at all.

I love you cousin! I remember your scrabble appointments and always thought was so sweet. I'm afraid I have been a **bad grandson** and not visited very often -- and now it's pretty painful to visit. It's amazing to me how much GGB and Lee's legacy still resonates in my life.

Love you too, Michael. I've not been to see her in awhile either, because it's so hard. I don't know what to say or do, and I feel so bad. I need to go soon, though, for my conscience and my soul.

i loved playing with the craft supplies. for me, it was the old business cards and the altoid containers that were memorable. :)
