i don't think i'm EVER going to get tired of 'sandcastles' fics. EVER. i just think that this moment - that 'what's going to happen, should i make it happen, should i wait for him to make it happen, HOW do i make it happen without looking like an obvious spaz?' moment - is so universal, and i love everyone capturing it in their own way.

ending is SUPERB!

It's the kind of pivotal point in a relationship you can't help but wonder about, isn't it? You want it to go one way, but you really don't know how it will go. And thus, to make it go every way you want it, fic! (well said on that description of the moment--I think you've got it down pat.)
