Joe the writer

Not only is Joe Simpson a great mountaineer, he's a REALLY good writer. I'm reading his new novel The Sound of Gravity and it is AWESOME. He describes things SO well. I wonder if his other novel is as good. *adds to amazon list* It seems like mountaineers are good writers..Anatoli Boukreev and Gaston Rebuffat were too. I love books haha

Wow...that's awesome that you've noticed such a correlation between being a mountaineer as well as a great writer. Doesn't hurt that they have such absolutely amazing experiences to share and write about either! I will have to read Joe Simpson's books one of these days.
