Things had been relatively peaceful as of late, at least as far as she knew. But Glacia being Glacia, and Karla's uncle still out there somewhere, it surely couldn't last.

She looked up from her seat where she was leafing through an old, leatherbound book, her tangled web still attached to the loom. She was thinking of having Helene or Jaenelle look at it to get their interpretations as well. She was willing to bet a great deal that they'd come away with the same one as she had, but it never hurt to be sure. "No, no danger," she said. "More like...family planning, I guess."
