Outtakes and Blooper Reel

Oct 29, 2010 06:46

As you can probably imagine, we went a little crazy during the setup for the plot. Drive-by pings abounded (a few causing real confusion when they weren't properly marked) and some turned into full-fledged threads on their own. Rather than let them languish in obscurity, we decided to post them later, once all the drama was done and over with.

MortonMorton had barely even followed the conversation from the time he sat down, but Raven's words had him surging out of his chair. "She's my cousin!" he exploded, throat tight and eyes maybe hinting slightly at watering.

"And you can't take her away from me!" That's what Hobart had wanted, and Morton had fought him every step of the way.

DinahOh, God, this was getting so out of control. "Morton, Morton--" Dinah reached out for him, even though she wasn't sure that was a good idea. "No, no, that's not what we meant. It isn't. I swear. I love her as much as you do, so does Raven although not the same way, no. Can we please talk about this stuff, instead of giving orders and yelling?" She took a breath, looked at Saetan and Lucivar. "Raven's not kidding, though. She could take her anywhere. So please, stop giving orders Karla will just get around. Okay?"

Raven
Raven wasn't listening to Dinah. Her head had snapped around to glare at Morton now. "Bitch, please, you have no choice," she snarled, then lunged at Morton to wrestle him to the ground.

Morton
Morton just hissed, hands coming up with claws to rake at her eyes. "Stay away from my woman cousin!"

Dinah
Dinah dived toward Morton, declaiming, "WHY can't you all just GET ALONG? Ohmigod. Karla loves *all* of us." She paused. "Just some more than others. Ha."

Raven
"She loves me most!" Raven hissed. "Warren is just a stupid phase. And you are not from Arkansas, Morton, so you cannot have her!" She yanked on his hair for good measure.

Morton
"You barely even know her!" Morton countered. "I GREW UP WITH HER!"

Dinah
"I WILL KNOCK BOTH YOUR HEADS TOGETHER!"

Dinah had a handful of each of their hair, prepared to do so. "Unless you kiss already. C'mon!"

Raven
Raven eyed Morton. He was not unpleasant to look upon, and maybe this would solve all her romantic woes. "Very well," she sighed. "Your lips, give them to me."

Morton
Morton shot Dinah a hard look. "Only if the two of you are next." Then, before she could answer, he was totally making out with Raven.

Mmmm... emo lips.

Dinah
"Oh, like that's a hardship." Ha. Dinah had kissed way less cute people than Raven.

She might have been timing them on her watch now.

Raven
Raven pulled back to catch her breath. "Why wait, join us now," she said. She smiled coyly at Morton. "And I can show you what else I can do with my powers."

Morton
"Two hot young things like yourselves? How could I turn that down?" Morton smiled smokily, no sign of his usual awkwardness around females. "Gimme some of that sugar."

Dinah
"MWAH!" Dinah got in one very hot passionate liplock on Morton, then pulled away to smooch Raven. "See?... MMM... Isn't it nice?... ahh... When we all... Oooo... get along?... Yes!"

Raven
Where did that pool of chocolate pudding come from? Raven wasn't going to think too hard about it, because now they were rolling in it, all three of them. "Mmmm," she said, licking Morton's shoulder. And then Dinah's neck. And then back to Morton. "You taste wonderful," she sighed.

Morton
Wherever the pudding had come from, it apparently demanded some sort of sacrifice for it's sugary deliciousness. Because most of Morton's clothes were gone, leaving him in a pair of board shorts that showed off his improbably defined musculature.

"So do both of you," he responded, taking both of their hands and licking down Raven's arm and then up Dinah's.

Dinah
Oooo, clavicle. Lick. Oooo, shoulder blade. Bite. Oooo, wrist. Nom nom nom nom nom... Funny how that bathing suit just appeared too.

"Seeeeee...?" Dinah had a point to make, but it was lost in the middle of Raven's lips and Morton's arms and ooo, yay, chocolate!

Raven
Raven refused to admit that behavior in herself, which was probably why she hadn't recognized it in Karla. "I did heal her," she said. "As I always will should Karla ever come to harm. And there are none here who could do the same for her as well as I can." Except maybe Jaenelle.

Karla
THAT'S BECAUSE JAENELLE ALWAYS DOES EVERYTHING BETTER THAN EVERYONE.

Morton
BUT NOT BECAUSE SHE'S A MARY SUE! WE PROMISE!

Raven
YOUR MARY SUE. GIVE IT TO ME.

Dinah
GRABBY WENCH. SAY PLEASE.

Raven
YOU LIKE IT WHEN I'M GRABBY.

Dinah
WELL, YES. PLUS THE BOOTS.

SAY PLEASE WITH THE BOOTS ON!

Raven
FOR YOU, BB, ALWAYS.

Dinah
WOO HOO!

FISHNETS AND BOOTS! A new limited series.

Warren
"Complacency really doesn't suit you, Bobby," Warren agreed. "Next time, you'll have to come up with some new and exciting way to beat me to the punch, just to keep things fresh."

But not too fresh. If you please.

Bobby
"Oh, you want me to get fresh with you, do you?" Bobby waggled his eyebrows at Warren, before leaning over and kissing him passionately.

Warren
Finally! At long last! A kiss from his one true love! Warren's arms reached up to wrap around Bobby's neck, pulling him closer. And then, when he finally had to come up for air again, ruffled in all the right places, he smiled, that debonair smile that only a Worthington could manage.

"I thought you'd never catch on, babe."

Karla
Karla, her hair mussed and cheeks flushed, glanced out the window to where her boyfriend was passionately kissing Bobby. Pressing a kiss onto Sookie's naked belly, she breathed, "Finally. Males are so slow sometimes."

Raven
Raven untangled herself and leaned over them both, getting a few gropes in in the process. "Are we hoping it keeps them busy, or should we invite them in here?"

Bobby
"I don't know," Bobby managed once he came up for air. "War, do we want to join them, or are we fine where we are?" Bobby, it seemed, was easy.

Warren
"Perhaps the better question," Warren mused, running one hand across Bobby's chest, smiling as he admired the icy Adonis set out before him, "is, are we lesbian enough?"

They'd have to work pretty damn hard at that.

Karla
They weren't. They absolutely weren't.

...That wasn't going to stop Karla from sending them all sorts of mental images about what was going on up in her chamber. Absolutely not.

They could read it as an invitation if they wished. Or maybe a maddening taunt of, "Look what weeeeeee're doing."

Not that she could say that aloud, of course. That would require her to put her tongue back in her mouth and it was busy.

Sookie
Sookie, naturally, being the gracious sort of person she was, decided to help out with that, and sent out a telepathic wave of what she was feeling.

It was more of a taunt than an invitation. Discerning between the two would require her upstairs brain to be working, and of course, Karla was preventing THAT.

Raven
Amateurs.

Raven was totally abusing her empathy now, taking up allllllll the feelings around her, amplifying them, and sending them back. Because she could do that.

Of course, she kept a good chunk of it for herself, because mmmmmm.

And then, there were a few threads, which got cut for space. No reason to have them never be seen, however. Both of these threads are from the meeting at the Hall posts.

Gabrielle

In less concerning circumstances Gabrielle would have gone directly for the food.

This wasn't the time for that, though; she moved toward the sideboard, but she was scanning the hall for someone she could get information from, her expression purposeful. She didn't like to pull rank often, but if she had to . . .

Well. This was Gabrielle the Amazon Queen standing here.

Khardeen

While the Queens in Jaenelle's coven often dressed like gardeners or farmhands or worse, Khary had never seen anyone dressed quite like that before.

He was just going to stare a moment, his sandwich half-forgotten in his hands. Was that a sack?

Gabrielle

Hey. It was not. It had been saved from that fate, thank you very much.

. . . look, the Queen's mask was too unwieldy to carry around, and anyway, Ephiny was holding it for her back with the tribe.

Gabrielle felt someone staring at her and turned to look. "Is there something wrong?"

Khary

"Uh, no! If course not," Khary said, remembering his sandwich and his manners at the same time. He took a hasty bite and gave a slight bow, using the time it took to chew to come up with a decent excuse. "I was simply trying to place you from the letters we get from Karla," he said, swallowing.

Gabrielle

"Gabrielle," she answered, nice enough to let his flustered moment pass without comment. "I'm her roommate. I'm sorry you've just had your hall invaded by a small army of panicked strangers, but Karla has a lot of friends where we are. You can probably guess that just by looking at us. When exactly was the last time you heard from her?"

Khary

"She was at the Keep about five days ago," Khary replied. "Ahh, I'm not sure how long ago that was for you--I know there's a time difference between Kaeleer and your school, but I can't remember more than that. Sorry. She arrived right after Saetan brought Jaenelle there, from Little Terreille."

MortonMorton was just going to be over here, creatively cursing his cousin in every language he knew. As soon as he got his hands on her...!

SaetanSaetan made a mental note to suggest Morton pick up a few Eyrien curses. If Lucivar survived, he could help teach the lad. Eyrien was a very suitable language for cursing in and it would prevent Morton from having to reuse the same words several times.

"Are you going to contact the boyos and tell them to call off the search?" he asked. Saetan knew what the answer should be, but wanted to hear Morton’s.

Morton"No," Morton said instantly. "There’s always the possibility that this could be a misdirection, a way to keep us looking elsewhere until it’s too late." He doubted it, he really did, but he wasn’t about to take the chance. "Even if this is real and Karla did go off and do something this blindingly stupid--" which he wouldn’t put past her at all "--there’s nothing that says she couldn’t have gotten grabbed anyway, while wandering through Askavi. They stay searching in Glacia."

Saetan"Good," Saetan said, pleased by that answer. "I’ll have Holt ready a Coach for you. You’ll be able to make it to Askavi in a matter of hours on the Rose. Head to the Keep, that’s where they left from."

He rose to his feet. The delegation from the Dark Council would be arriving shortly and he needed to rest and regain his composure. Otherwise it was possible Hell would have a few new denizens before their meeting ended.

"Bring her home, Warlord."

Morton"I will," Morton vowed, his voice almost a whisper. "I will."
