Ah, a woman after my own heart! My husband just chuckles and leaves me to my own devices, and thanks his personal deity that they aren't kittens.
I have since discovered that the garbage plant is a miniature begonia with little red flowers. I asked a florist if she thought I could bring it back, and she told me that begonias don't come back. Well, she *lied*. The plant looks like I just bought it from the florist - leaves all green, and covered with miniature red flowers. It looks spectacular. I am rightfully proud, both of my own TLC and the plant's clear desire to survive. I am about to post an actual post about the plant for everyone to read and if I get a chance, I will photograph it for all to see. I wish I'd taken a pic when I first got it, but it didn't cross my mind. I definitely need to photograph the coleus that are taking over the entire porch!
