2 updates at once you are truly spoiling us. This is gripping all the build up to future jack getting Ianto, Ianto knowing it is not 'his Jack' while berating himself for thinking that way, then present jack very upset....I love this tale and am looking forward to seeing where you taken as there are at a relationship level so many ways thie could go.

I really am torn here... Part of me wants future Jack to show Ianto how much he cares and loves him, but the other part sees present day Jack struggling to articulate his loss, having kept himself closed off to love...
I do have a thought how everything could work out well for all concerned, but I suppose that's just a pipedream... things never turn out happy for ALL concerned in TW!

Not sure I'm ready to write Jack, Jack and Ianto but I have a few ideas about how everyone can end up happy. I'm just worried about it being to contrived.

I'm with wanda1969 on this - I'm not sure which Jack I want Ianto to end up with! At first I wanted Ianto to stay with future Jack, who has obviously realised how badly he treated Ianto and wants to make amends by doing things right this time, and show Ianto how much he loves him. But now you've shown us this glimpse that present Jack does care and is suffering losing the Welshman, I'm not sure which one I want Ianto to end up with.
Great chapter by the way! You got Jack's 'pain' across just right and loved Owen and their exchange about coffee!
Eagerly looking forward to the next chapter!
