I mean, he's creepy as fuck, in a delicious way, but he still makes me want to say OH NATE and cuddle him gingerly.

This is amazing! As in, wow.

First - the concept. WOW. Creepy, chilling, haunting, but so thought-provoking and interesting.
Second - the characterisation and pacing are excellent, just so fantastically subtle.
