The pacing in this was just AMAZING, the progression of dawning realization. I love that Nate really is too good to be true. Except, in a way, he's kind of playing out a version of himself, isn't he? The angel that sees command isn't inviolable or perfect, that falls and breaks and is so, so tired. I mean, he's creepy as fuck, in a delicious way, but he still makes me want to say OH NATE and cuddle him gingerly.

Also, you know, fucking amazing writing in general. The descriptions were phenomenal, and the ensemble cast was perfect, and OH BRAD. OH NATE. OH CREEPY DISINTEGRATING BODY. ;_____________;

Can't believe I haven't commented on this before, and I've read it lots.

First - the concept. WOW. Creepy, chilling, haunting, but so thought-provoking and interesting.
Second - the characterisation and pacing are excellent, just so fantastically subtle.
