The folks running
Drupal.org thought they would upgrade the site from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6 tonight and proceeded to take the entire site down, not even leaving a copy in any sort of "read only" mode. What I get out of it is economy of scale. I currently run 5 different sites that are Drupal-powered (soon to be 6). Rather than learning a different CMS for each, it's just a matter of installing different modules for each site, as per its requirements. Lets me do more with less effort.
