I welcome the opportunity to return to the Con. I have missed you all the past couple of years. And yes, I do own a ratty pair of jeans, but will probably be seen in shorts this year as I am not working for you. I am just a volunteer and attendee. Since you're new to LJ, I'll fill you in on how commenting works.

If you reply to someone's post, that person gets an email containing your reply.

If you reply to a comment someone left, that person gets an email, along with the person who wrote the original LiveJournal entry.

So if you want others who commented on this entry to "see" your reply, you should reply directly to those comments. :-)
