So I need some opinions. I just renewed my hosting package on Starnickel.com for another two years and they upgraded my server space to 1800 MB and bandwidth to 120 gig/month. There is no way I could ever use that much of either, but it's good to have it. But all I have on there right now is some music and pictures. I host some other sites, but as ( Read more... )

I uh...don't really know! You might want to check their terms of service and see how picky they are about media uploading. You could always use the gobs of space to get people hooked on a show you like?

Meaning to ask you! I have a little bit of space on Starnickel, and I'm not exactly sure how much. I try to be really conservative in how much I upload at at time (aside from photos, I think I have like, five or six mp3s uploaded), as I don't want to exceed any limits or anything. :)

Didn't think of that .... I'll definitely check that.

You're using just under 50 MB disk space which is totally fine. You've used 1.71 gig of bandwidth this month. I don't get a breakdown of specific file usage of bandwidth on the subdomains (just on the main domain) so I don't know where it's all going. Usually it's pretty close between you and I sharing the bulk of the bandwidth every month. Doesn't bother me all that much especially since I have 120gig/month, but I'll let you know if it goes over ... oh say ... 6 gig in any given month.

Ahh, well. I think it's all getting sucked up by the soundtracks I've posted recently. I usually post half the songs to your space, and half the songs to someone else's space because I post the entries publically and you never know, you know? I'm contemplating putting the two other soundtracks back up by single mp3 since Sendspace doesn't always work for people, and that would equate about 15 songs uploaded by me simultaneously, for an indefinite amount of time. Just let me know if this is too much! I reeeeally don't want to step on any toes considering you were generous enough to give me the space in the first place.

Honestly ... it's not a big deal at all. I'm just happy somebody's getting some use out of it because obviously I'm not.

Actually I'm going through and deleting some shit right now. Some dude asked me for some space about 3 years ago, uploaded some shit, and hasn't touched it since then. Good, huh? So I'm deleting all his shit and removing his subdomain.
