Oh, dear. I honestly have no idea what is going through their minds most of the time.

I hardly think Anser is going to kill Mr. McLaughlin - he's full of idle threats, and even though this matter is personal, I don't think he's going to start acting upon them. I've never known a murderous Mother Goose. I suppose the new Tales don't have the benefit of that.

They take everything awfully personally. But, thank you, Eleanor, for letting us know.

[Private to Noah]

From what I can put together... Anser had a relationship with the last incarnation of the Good Sister, named Kendra, which Neil knows about and has photographic evidence of? And now Pearl is the Good Sister.

Is that right? It seems like it must be, certain things make more sense now.

I'm not sure what we're supposed to do about this, though.

That's how I felt, actually. For all his grumbling, Anser's not evil. He's certainly not a killer. But you're right - being new, they can't really trace trends back through lifetimes.

You're welcome. I'm going to just let it go; Edie offered to come pick me up, so I think I'll take a step away from the Compendium and leave it for the night. I'm sure I'll be calmer tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. We'll keep an eye on things anyway. Make sure no one gets brutally dismembered, 'cause that could raise some really awkward questions.

So we're preventing Pearl from remembering any of this, too, yeah?

From the very few things I've seen/heard her say about Anser, I'm guessing she doesn't remember it. I think it could be awkward for her, but I also know I can't protect her forever. If the recollection is going to come to her, it'll come.

I just don't appreciate Neil using it as some kind of ammunition and totally disregarding how it would make the people on the fringes of his little dispute feel.
