[Rose of Versailles] I am not at ALL obsessive.

Sep 20, 2009 21:30

Hi. Today has been sort of vaguely horrible, in a tiredness-induced way rather than because anything went wrong; nothing a good night's sleep and several buckets of tea in the morning won't fix. However, on the up side, I have been rewatching the later parts of Rose of Versailles. I think I may be almost ready to inflict more lengthly rambling on ( Read more... )

this is so gay, everyone loves alain too, everyone loves oscar, rose of versailles

If there's anything manlier than singing, dancing, and picking up dudes in a bar, I just don't know what it is.

Well, quite! Those bare chests are totally manly too, and not at all making the place look like an eighteenth century gay bar.

The thing is, not everyone loves Alain. It's mostly us, really. =(

But HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT LOVE HIM? He's manly! He does tricks! He's great in bed! (What?) And in the end Andre somehow manages to be a bigger prat than Alain. How is that even possible? Not that I don't love Andre, BUT HE'S A PRAT.

I would also like to take a moment to talk about Alain's huge manly sparkly eyes. They're so big and dark and deep (and occasionally very sad in a Manly Way) and the lashes are so long and thick that any beautyqueen would be proud of them.

Everyone SHOULD love alain. I am trying to make it true by stating it forcefully enough and often enough. It's never worked before but I live in hope.

And Alain is... less of a prat than he might at first appear. Whereas Andre is far more of one. ;; ("Oscar, I'm the only one who can protect you!" Gag. Dude, even Gerodere is doing way better than you.)

They are rather wonderful, now you mention it.

W-what is Oscar grabbing?!

She is not grabbing anything. She is holding a dagger, which the man accidentally flung at her while slacking off, and is now threatening to apply it to a particularly delicate area. ;;
