[ Helen stood in front of Sally's home, watching the mermaid swim. It had a rather calming affect: seeing a creature merely just enjoy it's existance. It wasn't like Helen could say the same for herself, though. She sighed slightly and looked down at the case folder in her hands. ]

Oh, hey, Magnus, there you are. I wanted you to meet someone. [He indicates a vaguely Egyptian-looking guy with a sword on his back.] This is Ardeth Bay and he knows a thing or two about fighting dangerous opponents.

Hello. [He offers his right hand and is careful to keep his left away from the hilt of his sword.]

Ashley sees her mother standing by Sally's tank, squares her shoulders and stalks over. She nods at the mermaid in greeting then looks at her mother. "I need to talk to you." Jerking a thumb over her shoulder she says, "Your office?"

Helen is surprised at first by the forward approach from her daughter. She nods and motions for Ashley to go first. She nods to Sally before turning and walking beside Ashley.

"I suppose something has gone terribly wrong?"

"Short answer? I think your new protege is an idiot." She visibly tries to relax as they step into the elevator. "The slightly longer answer is he's an idiot, but we've had a...fairly calm discussion about the definition of teamwork so I don't think it will happen again." Her eyes narrow, "it better not happen again." Shaking head she says, "Sorry. That's not the important thing I wanted to talk about."

Helen tilts her head at Ashley. "Will is what we refer to as book smart, Ashley. He still has much to learn about how to work in a team and on the field. I don't believe I would classify him as 'idiot', however." She paused. "Then what is the important thing?"
