theangstmonkey wanted to know about these:

This is Mia Wasikowska as the title character from the 2011 film adaptation of Jane Eyre. I used to dislike this book, but upon re-reading it this year, it's eaily made it into my top ten as I think I now have a much deeper appreciation for the characters. Anyway, I chose this icon because it has a sort of mysterious feel to me with the colours and the filters. It's also the moment before the fateful meeting between Jane and Mr Rochester and she's pretty creeped out in the woods by herself.

It's no big secret that I ship Professor X and Magneto with the passion of burning suns (and no, not in that I think they've been secretly meeting up to bone each for the last forty years sort of way). This was a panel of dialogue from a comic where they're simply having a pleasant conversation. If memory serves, it's from one of the Excalibur issues where they have a happy, domestic life before Mags' daughter loses her mind and recreates all of reality. But it could also be from the arc just before Age of Apocalypse. I'm not certain since those were both scans from which my the_betrayer made icons.

Who doesn't love an itty bitty kitty? C'mon! It's adorable with the fuzzy coat, the big eyes, the tiny paws, and the pink nose. Anyone who doesn't appreciate how adorable small fuzzy critters are isn't someone I want in my life. THE END.

As much as I adore cats, they can also be beastly things. Here we have a prime example of a cat nomming its human caretaker. We has a flavour, after all. All those happy paws your cat makes on you? They're really just tenderising you for the inevitable day they consume you. True story.

A lot of really awesome men in history have equally awesome facial hair. Facial hair can be a key in determining alignment, too. If someone's twirling thier moustache, it's a safe bet they're up to no good and there's someone tied to a train track somewhere. I think that's why all the awesome guys in history have thick, luxurious moustaches and the baddies have those pencil-thin, curling moustaches. There's clearly a correlation between moustache and awesomeness.

I always imagine that this is a note Druitt would leave someone for whom he cared. I'm not sure how or why that thought ever came to be so firmly rooted in my mind, but it is. Ergo, the icon always makes em smile since John's such a serious character and any thing even remotely cracktastic in reference to him is automatic lulz.

meme; gotta catch 'em all
