It was, clearly, a brilliant idea to go out running in the Preserve a bare week and a day after opening her eyes for the first time in two and a half months.
Scully was taking long enough to stretch to evaluate how Rosalind was-- impatient, mostly, if she was any judge. She was whimsically wondering if she'd have to trip her roommate at some point, if she pushed herself too hard.
Probably not; she might be trying too hard to push her recovery, but she was basically a sensible person.
Bouncing up to her feet, Scully nodded to her, and said, "Last minute check. Water? Sidearm? Phone? Compass?"
"Then I guess we're set." Scully nodded, and checked the trail. "I got a map off the internet onto my phone, too. This should be fairly straightforward. You set the pace." She added dryly, "Since you're taller."
Scully didn't resent that in Rosalind, the way she might in a few other people on the Island.
"Of course," she agreed, with a nod. Blue-green eyes ran over the trail--at this point it was fairly well defined; well worn, Rosalind guessed, by people who wanted to explore just a little.
"We'll stick with the trail for now."
That was the smart thing to do. She took off at an easy run, nothing too taxing for the moment as muscles got used to the movement. It would be easy enough to increase the pace slowly.
Which Rosalind did, careful to keep a close watch on both her surroundings and how she felt.

Rosalind gave her roommate a faint smile. "All of that and a few things to help should anything go wrong. Basic first aid."
Potions, ethers... Because of course Rosalind was equipped with materia. Who knew if this could actually be dangerous or not?
