I was going to make this really amazing intellectually deep and brilliant post (yeah, right) but I got lost in the blue hour instead. I wandered over the fairy hills sprinkled in sparkling white powder and and wandered through the magic of the low setting sun as everything seems to blend into blue and firecracker sky. We got to keep our fairy dust ( Read more... )

Thanks, Geena. I'm working on making the camera obey my eyes and capture what I see.

Beautiful!

Visst är det vackert med blå timme. För några år sedan snöade det mycke och jag var också ut i blå timme.

Tack Wilhelmina. Blå timmen är så magisk och förtrollande särskilt på dina vackra kort i fjällen med den djupa snön.

They are so beautiful that I looked through them several times. You are an expert photographer--and have an eye for beauty.

Thanks, Marge. I'm not an expert but I'm working on making my camera obey my eyes because I have a love for what I see.

Oh, I'm so glad that you're enjoying the views from this part of the world. Chile has a bit of everything in the way of landscapes, doesn't it?

yes, but freshly falling snow escapes me every time. You have to be in the mountains or the south or both for that to happen. And I love it so much. Reminds me of college in New England. I love the sound and smell of snow. But the sight of it is pretty great, too.

I´ve always loved sharing your walks.
:)
I´m alwasy fascinated by the light in your pictures. It´s always like an ethereal twilight where you live, at least at this time of year.

That's a good descriptive word for it. A kind of ethereal twilight. A lot of days it's just so clouded over though that the light doesn't come through at all. Those are the hard ones. I was so thrilled to see that the snow stuck, little as it was today. We've been getting snow overnight that disappears in the day for a while now. Ken laughed at me because I ran outside to wander around for a good long while even before coffee today.
