So I have this thing where I like to borrow mytheological/worldbuilding concepts more than actual characterization or plot from a fandom, and apply them to completely different fandoms as a sort of distortion filter to see how they illuminate alternate circumstances

i'm not into hetalia but this was lovely. awww, miles. and i love that barrayar recognized ivan's strengths -- he really does have his points besides being miles's pack mule.

This is a beautiful fic, although one has to imagine that Barrayar and Komarr's early relationship (even during the Regency) was not pretty in the slightest. Have you considered posting it to the livejournal bujold_fic community?
