I think you did a great job showing the connection between 50 Shades/MOTU and Twilight. That was one of my favorite things about your parody. I have trouble believing others (specifically those who support James and claim her work is original) don't see it.

Day late and several dollars short but yes, exactly. I really struggle to see how people can't see the similarity--all I have to do is flip through the book and I can find entire passages that evoke Twilight so strongly that I can't understand how someone could claim to have read Twilight and not see it.

On the other hand, it is precisely because huge swaths of the American reading public don't read carefully or well that this whole thing came about in the first place...
