We are seeking a GIS Specialist III (Programmer) to support operations at the United States Department of Agriculture in Kansas City, Missouri. This person will will work with a team of GIS programmers and be responsible for design and code implementation.
Responsibilities:
Geospatial applications development:
Will carry out software development projects in some combination of ArcGIS, ArcObjects, ArcGIS Server, MS Virtual Earth, and Google Maps.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or GIS
ArcGIS Developer/ArcObjects (9.2,9.3) (2 years or more)
ArcSDE 9.2 (or higher);
.NET 2.0 (or higher)
GIS Developer (can include ArcGIS above) (2-4 years)
GIS Analyst (2-4+ years)
Java/JSP/J2EE, C#, MS Visual Studio 2005 ( 2+ years)
Preferred:
MS SQL, SDE, environmental programs, web software development and web services.
US citizenship is NOT REQUIRED, anyone who works in US can apply. This is a contractor job, not direct hire of USDA.
